I have been making artist books off and on for a number of years but it was not until I took a semester long course with Rebecca Goodale here in Maine in 2006 that I really got launched with this medium. At the time I was entralled with insects, those with wings anyway, and so many of my early works featured winged insects as well as botanical and other imagery from the natural world. The image shown here is of a fan book that includes a poem I wrote about taking a June bug for a walk. I also create travel journals when I have been lucky enough to travel. The works shown here date between 2006 and 2012. Though I have not stopped making individual books like these I have lately been concentrating on adding to the large wall installation (Library) that I have been working on since 2010.
